The design of the CARBOTIX Evangelion
Unit-01 is more than just a refinement. Every detail was carefully considered to incorporate the functional elements that would be necessary if Unit-01 actually existed. Through repeated trial and error, we have created a design that successfully balances the impression of the original work with the value of a high-quality die-cast action figure.Featuring
intricate die-cast alloy parts and a ratchet-mechanism joint design, the figure delivers the substantial weight characteristic of alloy and an exceptional range of motion. We also paid meticulous attention to the design of the hidden parts to ensure stability even when striking dynamic poses.
In particular, the articulation of each part incorporates a variety of interlocking mechanisms to reproduce a range of motion that closely resembles that of a human body—just as you’d expect from an Android. The “CARBOTIX Evangelion Unit-01” delivers an “experience” that goes beyond mere reproduction
