“Dragon Quest Monster Shogi: Let’s Catch Monsters!” is a mini-shogi game played on a 3×4 board with 8 pieces.
The monster pieces feature a Slime symbol indicating the directions they can move, allowing children to enjoyably learn the basics of shogi through rules that are easy to understand.
Simple yet deep, this board game is ideal for cultivating children’s concentration and critical thinking skills. It comes with a
carrying pouch, making it easy to play anytime, anywhere.
With a compact board and movement directions clearly visible at a glance, this is a simple shogi game suitable for ages 4 and up. It features a deep gameplay experience that
even adults will find challenging.
~How to Play~ Set up the
monster pieces and start with a greeting.
Decide the order of play, then take turns moving your pieces. If you move to a square occupied by an
opponent’s piece, you can capture it and make it your ally.You win by capturing your
opponent’s “Ryuo” or “Zoma” piece, or by moving your own “Ryuo” or “Zoma” piece into your opponent’s territory.
