≪ストーリー≫
母親を亡くし一人ぼっちとなってしまった少年・九太は、「強さ」を求めて、バケモノたちが住む「渋天街（じゅうてんがい）」に迷い込み、乱暴者のバケモノ・熊徹らとの出会いと修行の日々を通じて「本当の強さ」とは何かを学んでいく。
月日が経ち、たくましい青年へと成長した九太は、現実の世界で同い年の少女・楓に出会い、無限に拡がる可能性という「新しい世界」の魅力に強くひかれていくのだが、その新しい道を進むためには、大きな事件を乗り越えなければならないのであった。
一人で強くなったがゆえに人を教えることができない熊徹と、家族を失い誰も信じることができなかった九太。危機に臨む熊徹と九太が、二つの心を一つにしたとき、だれもが想像もしえない「奇跡」が起こる――
