: "Kingdom" In
245 BC, during the Warring States period, in the western Chinese kingdom of Qin. Shin and Hyō, two boys orphaned by war, dream of one day becoming great generals who will rule the land. However, Shin and Hyō end up walking separate paths...At the royal palace, a coup d’état led by the king’s younger brother, Seikyo, breaks out. ‘Kingdom II: To the Distant Land’ The time is the
3rd century BC.The Warring States period, in the western Chinese kingdom of Qin. Shin, raised as a war orphan, meets the young King Ying Zheng, who has been driven from the throne by a coup led by the king’s younger brother.Swearing to become the greatest general under heaven together, he lends his strength to the king—who bears a striking resemblance to his childhood friend Hyō, with whom he was separated by death—and infiltrates the royal palace alongside Karōten and the King of the Mountains, Yōtanwa. Shin defeats the formidable enemies standing in his way, successfully quells the civil war, and reclaims the throne.However, this was merely the beginning of a colossal war.
