トランスフォーマー40周年を記念してオートボットの司令官オプティマスプライムが完全新規造形でスタジオシリーズに登場。
劇中イメージで完全再現されたその姿は40周年を記念するアイテムとなっています。
オプティマスプライムはロボットモードからビークルモード(トレーラートラック)へと変形します。
コンテナは、ビークルモード時はトレーラートラックの後部に接続牽引することが出来ます。
コンテナは展開して基地モードにも変形し、ロボットモードと組み合わせて遊ぶことや付属の6輪車のローラーの出動あそびも可能です。
その他オプティマスプライムの武器であるエナジーアックス、レーザーライフルや劇中再現用のエフェクトパーツも付属します。
付属の各パーツはコンテナへの格納が可能です。
