To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of *Transformers: The Movie*, the MDLX line is introducing articulated figures featuring color schemes inspired by the animated film! Following the first wave—Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron—the second wave features Hot Rod.
The MDLX line of Transformers figures is based on the original 1980s TV anime series, with design adaptations by threezero’s Art Director, Kelvin Sau.The “MDLX Hot Rod (‘Transformers: The Movie’ 40th Anniversary Edition)” is a fully articulated figure (non-transforming) standing approximately 18 cm tall. By utilizing a frame system made of die-cast zinc alloy and engineering plastic, it features approximately 46 points of articulation and high durability.
The “MDLX Hot Rod (‘Transformers: The Movie’ 40th Anniversary Edition)” is a color variation of the standard edition MDLX Rodimus Prime (sold separately), featuring a magenta, orange, and bright yellow color scheme inspired by Hot Rod’s appearance in the movie.
Included accessories are one laser blaster, one blaster rifle, and eight interchangeable wrist parts. The laser blaster and blaster rifle can be combined to form the Photon Eliminator mode.
