Maaya Sakamoto, whose 30th-anniversary live concert held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on April 18 and 19, 2026, concluded to great acclaim.
Now, a new release from Maaya Sakamoto has been announced.
The title is "Afterglow." Disc 1 features a total of six theme songs, ranging from "Iroiro," the theme song released in 2015 to coincide with the launch of the smartphone RPG "Fate/Grand Order,"
to the final chapter theme song “Tokei” released in 2025, Disc 1 features a total of six theme songs.
"Tokei," which was digitally released at the end of last year, will be included on CD for the first time.
Disc 2 includes unplugged sessions of the previously released "Shikisai" and "Gyakko," as well as a newly recorded unplugged session of "Yakudo."
Furthermore, it includes a self-cover of "Transparency" by Mamoru Miyano,

The First Press Limited Edition includes a Blu-ray featuring footage being released on disc for the first time, and a
a deluxe limited edition featuring a three-sided sleeve case with double-sided artwork drawn exclusively by Takashi Takeuchi (TYPE-MOON)!

【Maaya Sakamoto PROFILE】
Born in Tokyo. Active as a child actress from the age of 8.
Since her CD debut in 1996 with the single “Yakusoku wa Iranai,” she has been actively releasing new works.
Starting with “You Can’t Catch Me,” which reached No. 1 on the Oricon charts in 2011, she has actively collaborated with various artists and musicians.
Since her 2013 album “Singer-Songwriter,” she has written her own lyrics and music while also actively providing songs to other artists.
In 2019, she released her 30th single, “Memories of the Universe” (produced by Ringo Sheena), and her 10th album, “Music Just for Today.” In 2020, she released
"Single Collection + Achikochi," a 25th-anniversary album. That same year, she released the digital single "Yakudo," which reached No. 1 on the Oricon charts.
In July 2021, the radio program "Vitamin M," which she has hosted for 20 years, reached its 1,000th broadcast (it is still airing today).
Her double-A-side single "Sumire / Kotoba ni Dekinai," released in May 2022, garnered significant attention with music and arrangements by Shigeru Kishida of "Kururi."
Her latest song is “Tokei,” the theme song for the final chapter of the smartphone RPG “Fate/Grand Order,” released digitally on December 28, 2025.
To date, he has released 36 singles and 11 full-length albums.
As a lyricist, he has written for numerous artists, including KinKi Kids (now DOMOTO) on their single “Hikari no Kihai,” Mamoru Miyano on “Tōmei,” and Walküre on “Kaze wa Yōkoku Naku Fuku,” among others.
She has also published a collection of lyrics titled "Sashiku" (KADOKAWA), featuring only her own work.
She also received critical acclaim for her role as Gilusha in the Japanese premiere of the musical "Daddy-Long-Legs," winning the 38th Kikuta Kazuo Theater Award.
Her latest essay collection, “The Theory of Satiety: Bite into Tomorrow” (KADOKAWA), has also garnered attention.
She is active in a wide range of fields, including voice acting, acting, songwriting, essay writing, and radio hosting. Her fresh, vibrant singing voice has earned her a dedicated fan base not only in Japan but around the world.
[Fate/Grand Order]
A smartphone RPG developed by TYPE-MOON, launched in July 2015 as part of the "Fate" series, which includes "Fate/stay night" and many other titles.
