時は近未来、岩と砂漠に覆われた、とある辺境の一惑星。 厳しい自然の中、人々はプラントと呼ばれるエネルギー源をよすがに、 細々と暮らしを営んでいた。
そんな町の一つ、 流砂に囲まれた・マッカシティを伝説の大強盗ガスバックが狙っているという噂が広まる。
護衛のために町の権力者・ケプラーが雇った荒くれ者と、 ガスバックを狙う賞金稼ぎたちで溢れかえるマッカ。
査定のために町を訪れたメリル&ミリィはその状況に驚愕する。
しかも、その中には600億$$(ダブドル)の賞金首ヴァッシュ・ザ・スタンピードの姿がー!! 破壊と大惨事の予感に恐れおののくメリルは、なんとかヴァッシュを追い出そうと画策するが、 当のヴァッシュは例によって涼しい顔で、女賞金稼ぎのアメリアにちょっかいを出してばかり。
そんな折も折、ついにガスバック一味が町へと現れてしまう。
そして、 その中に何故か、ヴァッシュの相棒役のウルフウッドの姿が…!?
それぞれの思惑が錯綜する中、 アウトローどもが繰り広げる荒野の大狂宴(バッドランド・ランブル)が、今、幕をあける!!
