Eyes gazing straight ahead. The colors and shapes of “daisuki” (love) spreading out. The cover art for “Daisuki ga, Afuredasu.”—the
first art book by illustrator necomi, who has created numerous character designs and illustrations—has been reimagined as a delicate vignette for the Concept Master Line. “PHONOGRAPHIC” is her first art book, compiling works from the early days of her career
. Under necomi’s supervision, we have reconstructed this piece—originally created as the book’s cover—into a three-dimensional form.While preserving the
illustration’s signature soft contrasts and elegant symmetrical composition, we’ve added new elements to enhance the sense of depth. The result is a 1/5-scale
vignette that elevates the illustration’s charm. Her
hair sways gently, her skin has a subtle rosy glow, and her eyes gaze straight ahead. The expression of the cat-eared girl, Colon, is meticulously rendered with fluid brushwork and a fresh, translucent quality.
The costume’s fabric is rendered with high-density weaving, captured through the shape of the wrinkles and the fabric’s firmness. For the champagne gold accents, we focused on achieving an elegant tone. The skirt’s hem and both
legs, designed specifically for this piece, blend seamlessly into the scene as if they had always been there.
The custom base was inspired by a celestial sphere-like background and a frame designed with interior decor in mind. The
frame is adorned with fish and jewels, while flowers grace the base. Along with the floral melodies flowing from the phonograph she holds, it invites the viewer into the world of the artwork. A vignette
that delicately weaves together color and form to convey the illustration’s newfound charm. This is a figure that is sure to overflow with the love you hold for it.
