パラディ島の外にある世界を、無数の巨人で踏み潰す「地鳴らし」――エレン・イェーガーが苦悩と葛藤の果てに下した決断を、全幅1mを超えるサイズで具現化したジオラマ作品です。終末をもたらす行進は、その足並みから垂れ下がる長髪の位置に至るまで構図にこだわったもの。サイズやフォルムにもデフォルメを効かせ、迫り来る恐怖を演出しました。
肋骨のアーチが感じさせる圧倒的な重量。LEDで3色の光を放つ蒸気。終尾の巨人は、絶望の視覚化をテーマに作り上げました。作中の細く繊細な毛束を表現するため、頭髪には植毛を採用。緑の瞳が訴えかける表情に、複雑な感情を生み出しています。物言わず歩を進める壁の巨人たちも、筋肉と骨のバランスなど細部まで精巧な出来栄え。それぞれに異なる顔立ちが、個性と不気味さを際立たせます。
特製ベースは踏み鳴らされ、生命の気配が消えた荒野をイメージしました。岸壁の下に広がるのは、青く透き通った大海原。その先に待つ運命を予見させます。
