2009年公開のシリーズ第1作目『アバター』より、「ネイティリ＆サナター」がリアルエリートマスターラインに登場。
パンドラの調和を守るため、RDA社との決戦に臨むオマティカヤ族の戦士。その勇敢な佇まいをモチーフにした1/4スケールスタチューです。サナターと一対になるレイアウトの中に、一族の誇りや愛するものへの想いを鮮明に映し出しています。
流れるようにたなびく髪、しなやかな身体を彩るウォーペイント、優美な曲線に緊張感をたたえた弓矢。すべて映画の印象を丹念に汲み上げたものです。胸飾りの下に見える白い手形も、込められた物語を想起できるよう丹念に塗装しました。そして特にこだわったのが、劇中の象徴でもある瞳。角膜や水晶体の層構造まで作り込み、魂が見えるような虹彩の鮮やかさを表現しています。
サナターの咆哮を上げる姿も、練り上げた色とカタチで作り出しました。大きく突き出した牙、艶やかな体表、強靭な筋肉が浮かぶ前足。すべてが恐怖と力感、ネイティリとの絆を感じさせる仕上がりです。
リアルな立体表現で贈る「ネイティリ＆サナター」。先に予約開始した「ジェイク・サリー＆グレート・レオノプテリクス」と共に、パンドラの物語を伝えるアートピースです。
