詩的な心情描写と洗練されたアートで知られるコミックから、主人公のバットマンとキャットウーマンがアルティメットプレミアムマスターラインに登場。
不穏な光と影に包まれながら、夜の屋上に立つダークナイトとファム・ファタール。
第2章のカバーアートに着想を得て、主人公たちを1/4スケールで精緻に表現しました。
コンセプトデザイナーとして迎え入れたのは、作者であるクレイ・マン氏本人。
最良の1体を作り上げるため、さまざまなアイデアを生み出しています。
観る者にふたりの関係性を伝える、視線と身体の向きにこだわったポージングもそのひとつです。
バットマンの全身に隆起する筋肉は、解剖学を想起させるもの。
パーツの交換により、グラップルガンを持つことも可能です。
一方のキャットウーマンは骨格・筋量を設計し、美しいボディラインを実現。
手にした鞭も鋭くしなやかな仕上がりです。
また両者のコスチュームは光沢と陰影にこだわり、深みのあるダークトーンを生み出しました。
不吉なモチーフが刻まれた特製ベースも荘厳さを感じさせます。
叙情豊かなクレイ・マンのコンセプトを昇華させた本作。
同時リリースの「ファンタズム」と並べれば、より深く作品世界を味わえます。
