2009年公開のシリーズ第1作目『アバター』より、「ジェイク・サリー＆グレート・レオノプテリクス」がリアルエリートマスターラインに登場。
愛するものを守るため、敢然と立ちあがる“トルーク・マクト（最期の影を乗りこなす者）”。その精悍な佇まいを捉えた１体です。アバターとしての外見と、異文化の中で成長を遂げた内面を、余すところなく1/4スケールで映し出しています。
編み込まれた髪、美しい紋様が浮かぶ肌、ナヴィ文化を感じさせる槍。すべて映画の印象を精緻にトレースしました。手榴弾の無機質な造形は、人類としての一面を伝えています。そして最も力を入れたのが、劇中の象徴でもある瞳。角膜や水晶体の層構造まで作り込み、魂が見えるような虹彩の鮮やかさを再現しました。
グレート・レオノプテリクスは迫力あふれる仕上がり。オレンジを基調とした体表とステンドグラスを思わせる翼の彩色は、空の王者たる気品に満ちています。そして静かに寄り添うポーズは、ジェイクとの固い絆をイメージしたものです。
リアルな立体表現で贈る「ジェイク・サリー＆グレート・レオノプテリクス」。今後登場予定の「ネイティリ＆サナター」と共に、パンドラの物語を伝えるアートピースです。
