2015年公開のシリーズ4作目、『ジュラシック・ワールド』から「モササウルス」がレガシーミュージアムコレクションに再び登場。
巨大なプールから飛び上がる、象徴的なシーンを捉えたスタチュー。
今回は海中をテーマに立体化しました。
逞しい尾を水面に突き出し、悠然と獲物を追い詰める姿は、映画本編やキービジュアルを手掛かりに生み出したもの。
絶対的な支配者として、1/15スケールで設計しています。
全長1mに迫る本作は、精巧な造形と彩色が細部まで徹底されています。
大きく開いた口腔内は、牙の鋭さや粘膜の質感をリアルに表現。
全身を覆う分厚い皮膚の凹凸は生物ならではのランダムなパターンに仕上げ、青みを帯びたグレーの彩色は水中光を映すように濃淡を重ねました。
そして尾から弾けるクリアパーツの水しぶきは、角度や色合いに変化をつけることで、そこにない大海原をイメージさせる出来栄えです。
地上からの光が差し込む特製ベースは、ラグーンの生態系を詳細に描写。
赤と青のサンゴ、並走する魚群、逃げ惑うホオジロザメ。
正面のタイトルロゴも、観る者を映画の世界へと誘います。
