作品の誕生50周年を記念して描かれた、イアン・マクドナルドによる公式アートワーク。
この『Red Sonja: Long Live the Queen（レッドソニア “女王に栄光あれ”）』と題された1枚に着想を得た、1/3スケールスタチューです。
敵地での血戦に勝利し、大胆なポージングで玉座を占拠する女戦士。
その荒々しくも美しい姿を、立体へと昇華させました。
アイコニックな赤髪は複数のトーンを重ね、光を受けることで豊かな陰影が生まれるよう設計。
深みのある瞳とそばかすが浮かぶ肌が、彼女の人間性を浮かび上がらせます。
しなやかなプロポーションは、鍛え上げられた筋肉と女性らしい柔らかさを丹念に組み合わせて作り出しました。
金属の重みまで想起させる鱗状のビキニアーマーと大剣。
ファーを採用し、ワイルドな風合いを表現したマントとブーツ。
身に着けた装備も質感に富んだ仕上がりです。
禍々しい意匠の玉座もまた、アートワークの色とカタチに基づき作り上げたもの。
足元で力なくうごめく闇の眷属、ゴシック調の燭台に灯る蝋燭、背面で鎌首をもたげる大蛇。
すべてが新たな君主を讃えています。
女王に即位した、堂々たる赤髪の女戦士。
