隔絶されたイスラ・ソルナ島を舞台に、増殖した恐竜たちが人間に牙を剥く『ロスト・ワールド／ジュラシック・パーク』。
巨匠S・スピルバーグが再びメガホンを取ったシリーズ2作目より、「ヴェロキラプトル」がレガシーミュージアムコレクションにラインナップ。
外部への救援を求めるため、イスラ・ソルナ島の通信センターに辿り着くイアン、サラ、ケリー。
その3人を待ち構えていた俊敏な肉食恐竜を、1/6スケールで映し出したスタチューです。
次々と現れる群れの中から選んだのは、最初に襲い掛かってきた個体。
イアンを睨みつけ甲高い声を上げる、スリリングなシーンをモチーフに作り上げました。
小柄ながらも高い運動性を誇る体躯は、ざらついた皮膚と張りのある筋肉を精密に造形。
特徴であるタイガーストライプも、腹部などに見えるグレージュにオレンジを重ねていき、その上に流麗な黒の縞を走らせました。
縦長の瞳孔が備わる黄色い瞳、鮮血を思わせる赤い舌、鋭く伸びる鉤爪。
すべてのディテールに闘争本能が宿っています。
倒木が横たわる特製ベースは、通信センター前をイメージ。
窓がひび割れたドアと腐食したタイヤ、廃車のパーツもイアンとの対決を鮮明によみがえらせます。
