原作へのリスペクトと大胆なアレンジにより、キャラクターのまだ見ぬ一面を立体で表現する“Concept By Josh Nizzi”から、「エヴァンゲリオン量産機」が登場。
映画『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン劇場版 Air／まごころを、君に』で、多くの観客にトラウマを植えつけた異形のエヴァシリーズ。その魂なき存在ゆえの不気味さを、ジョシュ・ニジー氏のコンセプトデザインをもとに際立たせたスタチューです。オリジナルの生体的なフォルムを尊重しつつ、パネルラインや内部機構といった緻密なディテールを追加。白を基調とするカラーリングにも金属の鈍いシルバーを使い、アクセントとして警戒色のイエローを差しました。パープルが映える剣も、繊細な造形の中に鋭い緊張感を宿しています。
舞い降りたかのようなポーズの足下には、終末の光景を作り込みました。崩落したトラス橋、瓦解した建築物、身体を貫かれて赤い海に沈む弐号機。かつて観た悪夢が、カタチを変えてよみがえります。
