2001年公開のシリーズ第3作目から、「プテラノドン」がレガシーミュージアムコレクションに登場。
薄暗い靄の中で襲われ、甲高い鳴き声が響く巣に連れ去られる。
エリックが感じた恐怖をモチーフに、翼竜たちの世界を1/6スケールで立体化しました。
巨大な翼を折りたたみ、巣の中を見下ろす成体。
我先にと身を乗り出し、空腹を訴える幼体たち。
種族の絆を感じさせる構図は、ここが人間の立ち入れる世界ではないこと、そして自分が餌として求められていることを、観る者に強く印象づけるよう設計されています。
細長く鋭いくちばし、大きく張り出したトサカ、筋肉の収縮を刻んだ背中。
各部の造形は迫真の出来栄えで、翼膜も緻密なモールドと陰影に富んだ塗装で再現しています。
幼体は未発達な体つきや羽の薄さを丹念に作り上げ、大きな目元で幼さを演出。
錆びた鉄骨や朽ちた巣材、頭骨をあしらったベースも臨場感を高める仕上がりです。
作中の恐怖を余すところなく表現したプテラノドン。
空からの脅威を待ち望んでいた、世界中のジュラシックファンに贈ります。
