メガドライブ専用ソフト「重装機兵レイノス」は2Dサイドビューのアクション・シューティングゲームとして1990年に発売されました。
自機である「レイノス」を操作するアクション性と複数の武器を取得・選択しながらステージを攻略していく戦略性を兼ね備え、また、ゲーム中にパイロットなど登場人物の会話が挿入されることによるストーリー性も高く評価されました。
発売中商品「AS-5E3レイノス(主人公機)」のバリエーションとして、陸戦タイプの機体を商品化。
「重装機兵ヴァルケン」のプレイヤー機体と同じダークイエローのカラーリングを成型色にて再現。
更に新装備としてゲーム中にも登場した「50mmアサルトランチャー」、ヴァルケンと同タイプの「シールド」、陸戦仕様の専用パーツとして頭部や脚側部のユニットが、新規金型パーツとして付属します。
※(主人公機)付属の12.7mmガトリングガンは付属致しません。
※2012年3月発売商品のパッケージや素材を一新した「リニューアルVer.」での再生産となります。
