■The story is set in the Warring States period. Born into a
distinguished family of low-ranking ninjas, Rantaro studies daily at the Ninja Academy as a "Ninja Egg" (Nintama) alongside Kirimaru—who lost his parents in battle but lives on
with resilience—and Shinbei
, the son of a wealthy merchant from Sakai, all with the goal of becoming fine ninjas. However
, the trio of Rantaro and his friends constantly fail their classes and exams.
Add to that the eccentric teachers of the Ninja Academy, the girls of the Yaku-ichi clan, and the colorful upperclassmen, and you’ve got a daily life full of chaos. But Rantaro
and his friends’ everyday life is “bright, fun, and hilarious”!
