池田あきこ先生原作の大人気作品『猫のダヤン』の長編冒険物語シリーズ（ほるぷ出版）より、ラジオドラマ第2弾『ダヤン、奇妙な夢をみる』のCDパッケージ化になります。
CD化にあたり、『奇妙な夢をみる』に出てくる魔物のキマイラのバニラに対する愛をひとり語りの形で池田あきこ先生が書き下ろした短編小説としてCD封入ブックレットに掲載（イラストも一部描き下ろし）。
ラジオドラマ主題歌『ダヤンの奇妙な夢』[歌唱：ジタン(CV:岩崎諒太)]も収録。
＜本編あらすじ＞
オットーさんが持ち帰った不思議なランプを手にしたダヤンは、奇妙でへんてこな夢をみました。次の日、夢を売る店がタシルに開かれ、イワンやマーシィ、バニラたちまでが、ダヤンの夢に入りこんできます。そして、夢の魔物モスにバニラがさらわれてしまい――。ダヤンは、ジタンやバク、キマイラたちの助けを借りて夢から脱出できるのでしょうか？
