「古そうで新しい、だけど少し古臭いソフビ怪獣シリーズ」をコンセプトに、数々の怪獣をデフォルメデザインで立体化したミドルサイズシリーズ ゴジラEX【第9弾】として、完全新規造形にて登場する「ゴジラ（2004）」と、尻尾が新造形となっている「ゴジラ（2016）凍結」の全4種が新たに登場！
シリーズを通じ全高13cmほどで、手のひらに収まる集めやすいサイズで、ノスタルジーさを感じさせてくれる、どことなく「昭和レトロ」を感じるレトロ調のデフォルメが施された、ソフビ好き・怪獣好きに送るコレクションシリーズ。

特徴的な鋭い目つきの表情や細身でマッシブな身体、シルエットの綺麗な背ビレなどを、レトロタイプソフビへと落とし込みました。
体色をイメージして調色された黒に近いダークグレーの成形色に、黄色い爪や背ビレなどのホワイトが彩色された「スタンダードVer.」という名前に相応しいカラーリングです。
