In his previous album, *The Sky*, Guiano focused on the boundless nature of “the sky.”This work—which looked up at meaning and meaninglessness, beauty and loneliness, and sang of the vistas beyond—brought him a tangible sense of fulfillment in expressing himself through his own voice, leading to a huge response: every show on his solo tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, held immediately after the release, sold out.

About eight months have passed since then.

This time, Guiano’s focus was not the sky, but “people.”
His fourth album, *God Was in Your Eyes as You Looked at the Landscape*, depicts the conflicting emotions—such as “contradiction and consistency” and “lies and truth”—that people continue to grapple with as long as they live.

The self that failed to live up to ideals. Love that could not be fully conveyed. Promises that went unfulfilled. If one looks only at the results, perhaps these were “lies.” But can we really say that the wishes, conflicts, and wavering that certainly existed in those moments were also lies?

The contours of emotions that cannot be neatly categorized as good or evil, right or wrong. It is precisely within that ambiguity that the beauty that makes us human resides—Guiano believed this as he completed this work.The gaze that
looked up at the sky in *The Sky* is now directed toward the eyes of “you,” gazing at the landscape in this new work. As if to affirm all the contradictions, weaknesses, and tenderness reflected in the depths of those eyes, this album quietly draws near.

The album features a total of 10 tracks. The first-press limited edition includes a Blu-ray containing the complete 23-song set from the final show of his solo tour for *The Sky* at LIQUIDROOM.Having channeled the conviction gained from live performances into this work, Guiano will embark on his first nationwide tour featuring supporting acts across five cities, starting September 20. The answer that
lay beyond the sky was found within the human heart. This work, which captures that current state of mind, marks a new milestone for Guiano.
