『TANKHEAD』は、『DOOM』『Quake』『Transformers』『Warhammer 40，000』など数々の作品に携わってきたコンセプトアーティスト、Emerson Tung(エマーソン・タン)が創造するオリジナルメカワールドです。
惑星アールデで続く世界大戦「Neverwar」を舞台に、異なる文化を持つ三大勢力と、その戦場で運用される多種多様なメカ『TANKHEAD』が描かれています。
その中で、日本の文化や意匠を強く意識して描かれている勢力が、「ヤマイチ支配領」。
海外アーティストであるEmerson Tungならではの視点から、生物や武具、文化的モチーフが独自のミリタリーデザインへと再構築されています。
TYPE 33 HEIKEGANIは、ヤマイチを象徴する大型六脚タンクヘッドです。
その名が示す「蟹」のイメージを、日本の武者や甲冑を想起させる意匠へと落とし込み、Emerson Tung独自のメカニカルデザインとして表現。
低い車高と六脚構造に、120mm主砲、ミサイル、回転式機関砲を備えています。海外から見た「日本」のイメージと、リアリティある兵器デザインを融合させた、ヤマイチならではの一機。
