“Hyper Duel” was released in October 1993 by “Technosoft,” the software developer known for the popular Thunder Force series. While developed by the same team behind Thunder Force, this legendary arcade game took on a new challenge with a system that allowed the player to transform into a robot depending on the battle situation. It was also ported to the Sega Saturn in November 1996. To commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the arcade version and the 30th anniversary of the Sega Saturn version this year, Sega Music Co., Ltd. will release the seventh installment in the
[Technosoft Soundtrack] series, the CD*Technosoft Music Collection - HYPER DUEL -*, the seventh installment in the “Technosoft Soundtrack” series, on Thursday, November 26, 2026. A wealth of background music—a must-listen for Technosoft and *Thunder Force* fans alike—is vividly brought back to life through the latest recording and remastering techniques.

The set consists of two CDs. Disc I features the arcade version, newly digitally recorded and released on CD for the first time.Furthermore, the collection features an explosive, unprecedented non-stop medley spanning approximately 24 minutes—
"HYPER DUEL -Full Suite Super Arr Ver.-"—arranged by Kei Takanishi, a composer and arranger now a familiar name in the Technosoft Music Collection series! Enjoy the series’ finest arrangements yet, which further enhance the charm of the original compositions.
The following Disc II is a bonus disc featuring remastered audio from the Sega Saturn version. In addition to all the “Saturn Mode” tracks—which were included in their full-length versions on the previous album—it also includes the “Arcade Mode” audio in its entirety, which differs from that of the actual arcade machine.

The booklet features comments from Naosuke Arai, former head of Technosoft’s Development Department, as well as Kei Takanishi and others.

~Relive the shooting revolution of transforming robots (Metamorphose) through music!~
