Theme for the Original TV Anime “Sayonara Lara,” Airing in the July Season The opening theme for the original TV anime “Sayonara Lara,” which will begin airing in July 2026.The original TV anime “Sayonara Lara” was announced as a 15th-anniversary commemorative work by Studio “Kinema Citrus,” the studio behind numerous popular anime such as “Made in Abyss,” “My Happy Marriage,” “The Rising of the Shield Hero,”and *Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight*, among many other popular anime.Based on the fairy tale “The Little Mermaid,” the story follows Lara, a mermaid who is reborn in Lake Biwa 200 years later.The title track, “Sayonara Lara,” shares the same name as the anime. It is a refreshing, mid-tempo number with lyrics and music by Yoshiki Mizuno and arrangement by Seiji Kameda. The first-press limited edition Blu-ray is scheduled to include the “Sayonara Lara” music video, the anime’s opening sequence without credits, and previously unreleased live footage.
