TVアニメ『超時空要塞マクロス』第1話にて主人公「一条輝」が乗り込んだ複座型のバルキリー「VF-1D」がPLAMAXの1/72スケールVF-1ファイターバルキリーシリーズに加わりました。
キット解説：パーツ数を抑えながらもディテール表現は抑揚と密度感を兼ね備えたものになっているため、何度も組み立てたくなるようなスピード感でバルキリーの魅力がギュッと詰まった完成品が手に入ります。パーツ同士の合わせ目は極力目立たない部分に設定し、各ユニットがガッチリと所定の位置に収まるようのりしろ部分をしっかり取ったことで、パーツ同士の位置や角度がしっかりと決まり、完成後の剛性感もきわめて高いモデルになっています。頭部やコックピット周り、機体上部などD型専用部分を新規金型で構築、コックピットには着座姿勢の一条輝とリン・ミンメイが付属します。各パーツは5色の成型色となっており、組み立ててステッカーやデカールを貼るだけでも実感のある仕上がりとなります。さらにおまけとしてコックピットユニットを他のVF-1に吊り下げるパーツが付属します。
※組み立てにはプラスチックモデル用ニッパーと接着剤をご用意ください。
