冷戦末期のソ連で制式化された5.45mm口径小銃「AK74M」。
折畳式の樹脂製ストックやハンドガードを採用した近代化モデルであり、サイドレールによって各種光学機器の装着が可能となっています。
また、AK用アタッチメントの一つである、アンダーバレル式グレネードランチャー「GP25」は、ケースレスの40mmグレネードを用い、歩兵火力を大幅に強化する装備としてアフガニスタン紛争以降の実戦で広く使用されてきました。
独特の円筒形フォルムと、銃身下部に装着されたスタイルは、AKシリーズを象徴する姿のひとつとなっています。
本キットでは、AK74MにGP25が装着された重厚なスタイルを1/12スケールで再現。
GP25グレネードランチャーだけではなく、強烈な反動を受け止めるリコイルパッドが付けられたストック、2.8倍率1P78タイプスコープも付属します。(ランチャー非装着状態で組み上げることも可能です)
