The Final Holy War Draws Near—.
"BLEACH," serialized in *Weekly Shonen Jump* and boasting cumulative series sales exceeding 130 million copies, continues to enjoy enduring popularity worldwide even after its conclusion.
The TV anime series, which began airing in October 2004, has produced over 360 episodes to date and includes four feature-length theatrical films.
And now, at long last, the curtain rises on the anime project for the series’ final arc, “The Thousand-Year Blood War.”
Tomohisa Taguchi, who has demonstrated exceptional visual sensibility in numerous works, serves as director and series composer.
Character designer Masafumi Kudo and composer Shiro Sagisu are original members who have supported the *BLEACH* anime from its very beginning.
As with previous series, Pierrot will handle animation production. Starting with the third season, production will be handled by Pierrot’s new brand, “PIERROT FILMS,” which aims to deliver high-quality animation under the leadership of Tomohisa Taguchi as chief director and with Hikaru Murata—who served as chief director through the second season—now taking on the role of director.
This final series is tackled by a team of talented staff truly worthy of the “final battle.”
Where will Ichigo Kurosaki end up...?
★Story
Even as a future of destruction looms at the end of a thousand-year bloodbath between Shinigami and Quincy—
The Royal Guard’s Zero Division stands ready to repel Yhwach as he attempts to enter the Spirit King’s Palace.
However, the Quincy King and his personal guard break through the Zero Division’s fierce Bankai and finally enter the Spirit King’s Inner Palace.
Ichigo Kurosaki and his comrades are entrusted with guarding the Spirit King by Ichibei Hyōbu.
However, due to Yhwach’s scheme, Ichigo ends up slaying the Spirit King with his own sword.
The Spirit King’s death—it signaled the collapse of the Three Realms.
“Distortions” appear in every realm, and omens of doom begin to engulf the world.
The Gotei 13 joins forces with the remnants of the Quincy to head for the Spirit King’s Palace.
But the Spirit King’s Palace had fallen into the hands of the “Invisible Empire” and transformed into the “True World Castle.”
In the castle towering into the sky as if to mock the Shinigami, the Imperial Guard awaits them.
Fierce battles rage throughout the “True World Castle” between the Gotei 13 and the Imperial Guard.
Ichigo learns Uryū’s true intentions, and as friends who trust one another, they renew their resolve to protect the world.
Yhwach has become a being that surpasses even “The Omniscient and Omnipotent.”
The fierce battle, with the very survival of the Three Realms at stake, is drawing to a close.
Will despair or hope await them at the end of this path through the chaos?——
