Set in Japan around the Showa 30s, in the midst of the period of rapid economic growth, this is an
era when the circus was the center of entertainment and an integral part of people’s daily lives.
With a spot in the “Circus Collection”—
a world-renowned festival open only to the very best circus troupes—at stake,
numerous troupes travel across Japan, performing shows and competing fiercely against one another day after day.
The story centers on the “Sunflower Circus,” led by its ringmaster, Maria. While the “Sunflower
Circus” struggles with a perpetual lack of funds as it tours the country, a circus prodigy named Mizuka
Tsurumaki arrives at the troupe for a certain reason.
Was Mizuka’s encounter with the colorful members of the “Sunflower Circus” a coincidence or fate…?
The one-of-a-kind circus show brought to life by girls chasing their dreams—the curtain rises!
