★Introduction
: The anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, which has sold over 220 million copies in total across volumes 1–23 of Shueisha's Jump Comics.
The animation is produced by ufotable. The story begins when Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by demons
, joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human. The TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Tanjiro Kamado: The Beginning" began airing and streaming in April 2019,followed by the release of the theatrical film *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train Arc* in October 2020. From 2021 to 2022, the TV anime series *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train Arc* and *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Entertainment District Arc* were broadcast and streamed.
Starting in February 2023, the *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba World Tour Screening: Upper Ranks Assemble, and to the Village of the Blade Smiths* was held,followed by the broadcast and streaming of the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Village of the Blacksmiths" starting in April. Beginning in February 2024, the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba World Tour Screening: The Miracle of Bonds, and Onward to the Pillars' Training" was held in over 145 countries and regions—surpassing the previous installment—and the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Pillars' Training" began broadcasting and streaming in May.
It was then announced that the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" movie series would be produced as a trilogy. The first chapter
, "The Return of Gyokko," was released in Japan on Friday, July 18, 2025, and concluded its run on Thursday, April 9, 2026, with the exception of a few theaters.
★Story: Tanjiro Kamado joined the demon-hunting organization, the Demon Slayer Corps, to turn his
sister Nezuko, who had become a demon, back into a human. After joining
, he fought various demons alongside his comrades Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, deepening their friendship and bonds as they grew stronger.
Tanjiro also fought alongside the "Pillars," the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. On the "Infinite Train," he fought alongside the Flame Pillar, Kyojuro Rengoku; in the "Red-Light District," he fought alongside the Sound Pillar, Tengen Uzui; and in the "Blade Smith Village," he engaged in fierce battles alongside the Mist Pillar, Muichiro Tokito, and the Love Pillar, Mitsuri Kanroji.
Later, while preparing for the impending decisive battle against the demons and participating in the "Pillar Training"—a joint intensive training session led by the Pillars—Kibutsuji Muzan appeared at the Urokodani residence, the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps. Though the Pillars and Tanjiro rushed to the Lord’s aid
, they were cast into a mysterious dimension by Muzan’s hand.
The place where Tanjiro and the others landed was the demons’ stronghold, the
“Infinite Castle”—the stage is set for the final showdown between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons.
